Greetings!
I hope you enjoyed your summer as much as I enjoyed mine, and that your fall has begun with as much beauty and reflection as I've experienced. For me, the change in seasons typically causes conflict. Like the kid who refuses to go to bed for fear of missing out on something, I struggle with letting go of whatever goodness came my way during the previous three months, as if moving forward will cause the fun to end. Year after year, I am reminded that when I embrace the good times without choking the life out of them, I can open my heart and mind for what lies ahead. Life is full of surprises and more joy... I am certain of that.
Today marks the two-year anniversary of the day I held a copy of FISHING WITH HYENAS for the first time. The postman delivered 400 copies of the book I spent seventeen years putting together. I laughed, I cried, I squealed, I nearly passed out, and then the laughing and crying settled in my body, controlling the emotional roller coaster I rode for the rest of the day. WOW. What a ride!
A lot has changed in my life since that glorious moment. I've sold over 700 copies of my book--not including eBooks, relationships have come and gone, I've taken amazing vacations, and put new dreams in motion. As I welcome the spectacular autumn season, I embrace the unknown future. Thank you for riding this book journey with me. Let the adventures commence!
